Bernina artista 170 embroidery module

Question

After installing artista v3 on my windows 98 computer I reconnected embroidery module ( had been sewing earlier) machine alone and computer would not either recognize it, it just came up sewing screen and said it was not connected on the computer. I have used it alot before with computer and without and it worked ok. The computer is not online.
