  1. They have a history already.  They both arrived in Vancouver about the same time.  Mike didn't last as long.  He ended up in Florida and traded Luongo for Todd.  (Be glad it doesn't cost anything like that.  That was a bad deal for Florida)  That history is probably exactly why he was signed.

The biggest thing about Bertuzzi right now is he has been playing with a bad back, and hasn't been playing 100% the last couple years.  If it is better or in remission you can expect more.  But if it is chronic and ongoiong you can look at his numbers last year and expect the same.

  2. Bertuzzi isn't going to help the Flames at all.  I guess they were mad at losing an old player past his prime (Nolan), so they had to sign another.

  3. Bertuzzi and Iginla could be good together.

But then again, Iginla is the hard working, gritty type of player - traits that Bertuzzi has completely lost in the last 4 years. He will be trying to reproduce Nolans 'return to form'. I predict a clash of personalities, and complete and utter failure by Bertuzzi.

  4. He should really sign in that new Russian league to get a new start on his career, even if it is for one or two years. I kinda feel sorry for him.

  5. If anybody in the league that can turn a career around its Iron Mike.He makes people want to go through a brick wall for him.Playing with a classy player like Iginla also doesn't hurt.

  6. It is true that Bertuzzi and Keenan have worked together before. They both deserve each other. Two jacka**es. I feel for my friends who like Calgary.

  7. I think he should have signed in Tampa. He would have been a nice addition to Tampa.

Maybe he could have been on the top D pair in Tampa!

  8. I'm not happy about it.  I want the Flames to win the Cup, but I don't want Bertuzzi to win.  What is a Flames fan to do?

OK, I'm not a hard-core fan.  What is a medium Flames fan to do?

  9. He's a great pick-up. Injuries and Steve Moore's head have kept him from competing at his level the past few years but if can get it going on the Flames PP he's good for 30 goals and 40 assists.

  10. Good reason to finally get Center Ice

  11. "I think he is a character guy," said Iginla. "He made a bad decision. It was a bad incident. If he could take it back, I assure you he would. I do believe in second chances. He should move on and I think we should too."

It doesn't hurt that Bertuzzi's career kickstarted in Vancouver under Mike Keenan, the Flames head bench boss.

Iginla said it best. Sounds like Iginla has an idea that Bert can help the team out so ,Im Good!

Most  Flames Fans are definitely letting your emotions cloud your judgement. The Flames are a better team than they were yesterday. Stop acting like children.

    Go Flames!

  12. I agree with 288.  One punch and health issues took him from all star 100 point per year potential to 50 points at max.

I always have hope in a big year from him.

  13. OMG i feel so sorry for the flames, im a huge ducks fan and i just couldnt stand him on the ice last season...he pretty much has no more skill whatsoever, the sad thing about it though is that u can see the frustration in his face, hes a wreck...good luck flames fans , you'll need it

  14. wow. im sorry Flames fans. good luck with that

  15. Can't hurt them right now and Joe is right Keenen has pulled worst players out of there shells.
