Beside your first language, what is your favorite language?

What is your first language?

Unfortunately I don't really know what my favourite language is. I heard a PSA on the radio featuring the voice of a child - but I couldn't figure out what language it was. It was very beautiful though - a little bit like Elvish from the Lord of the Rings movies, but it wasn't Gaelic or Welsh or anything like that. I'm guessing the child was from some African nation.

I've always like Spanish cuz of the way it sounds (pretty hot language).

But I think Chinese is my favourite. With all those characters and tones etc.

My first language is German, my mother's native language was Italian, her mother's first language was French. I was raised speaking all three languages until I was six years old when my German father started working for the US Army in Germany. He made US friends who had children in my age group, and I was invited to spend the day with them in order to help the kids to learn some German. It ended up that I learned to speak English, and my US friends learned very little German. Along the way I also learned to speak some Hollands(Dutch). Now I am forty years in the US and mainly speak English. Since I reside in Texas I had to learn some Spanish as well. My favorite language is French and a close second is Italian.
