Because hatred is such a strong emotion, I can understand the emotion-driven votes for him ...just not the ones based in logic.

Please explain.

  1. Hatred for Bush is the most prevalent reason. He's also very charming. I'd vote for him if he had any substance behind him.

  2. Please explain?... I will explain.

I will vote for Obama, simply because he will do the OPPOSITE of what Bush's party does. That is enough explanation. And today, watching the RNC, the Republicans got nothing to say besides, "patriot, patriot, fight, fight, America first, America first, and US flag waving", That is not WHAT AMERICA IS ALL ABOUT.

People first, than country. Because, it is the PEOPLE that makes the country better. You can't have a good country when you fail the people.

    Obama-Biden '08

  3. Face the facts. ALL politicians say anything to get your vote.  Bush and Chenny were masters.  McCain an't no different then Obama.

  4. Believe it or not, most people do not hate Bush personally. h**l, if the 2004 election showed us anything, it is that most people would want to have a beer with him. On the other hand, a majority of people hate what he has done to the country and to other countries in their name, they hate the fact that he has wiped his *** with the constitution and that he has sunk us down into unfathomable debt to pursue wars based on lies.

And while emotions run high in this election on both sides, the reasons why people are voting for Obama tend to more rationally based then the reasons people are voting against him. Aside from well crafted speeches, most Americans like where Obama stands on the issues and want him to fulfill his campaign promises. On the other hand, nobody wants to be in Iraq for 100 years, very few people stand where John McCain is on the issues and he has offered little substantial in terms of where people want the US to go, since nearly everyone agrees that the US is headed in the wrong direction.

Frankly, nobody trusts someone who votes with Bush 90% of the time to be anything more then a continuation of failed policies.

  5. It is not hatred , Bush has failed it is your emotion that will not admit that

  6. You've offered no logic to support your position that people who hate America (whoever that's supposed to be) are voting for Obama, and yet you demand that we explain ourselves.  Um, no.

  7. Bush is a liar who got us into a war with a country that had nothing to do with 9/11. The Republicans led the charge and they have cost us 1 Trillion.

Thanks to Republican lack of oversight we have had to bail out almost every crooked industry in America, including the Sub-prime, Fannie Mae, Bear-St earns and the SAVINGS AND LOAN $2.3 TRILLION dollar largest theft in the history of the world. The victims were American taxpayers.

Bush destroys records, e-mails, tapes, and practices torture. He had secret CIA torture camps in Poland among other places, which he lied about until they were found!  The Republicans passed the Military Commissions Act of 2006. This Act eliminated habeas corpus and 6 of the 1st 10 Amendments to the US Constitution. Bush has over 800 signing slips of laws he claims he doesn't have to go by. One of them is the Patriot Act (what a misnomer).

If it were up to the Republicans, there would have been no minimum wage increase.

He had to fire his Attorney General for using political alliance as a test for those hired to the Justice Department. This is a crime!

Bush is so pro military, he cut VA hospitals by $1 BILLION while he was giving tax-cuts to the wealthy.

The Republicans give tax breaks to those who outsource jobs! They give tax breaks to Big Oil who makes more than 7 of the top 10 Fortune 500 companies combined and 2 1/2 the profits of the p**n industry!

McCain and Polan are anti-abortion and the first justice they appoint will be the one that gives them the votes to overturn Roe V Wade.

Republicans are a party of exclusion, they represent, as Bush said, "The haves and the Have mores"!

Why would anyone in their right mind want to vote for a Republican after what they have done to this country in 8 years?

  8. How could a vote for McCain or Bush (for the last two elections) be based on Logic? can you explain that? Bush has dismantled our economy, our trade, our bill of rights and our overseas policy all in one swoop over 8 years. Are you the ones that say Bush is doing a good job?

His approval rating fell from 90% right after 9/11 to 23%. How in the world can you do that? Most world governments hate us and he lied about Iraq to push his own agenda.

Intelligent? More intelligent then Bush? YES. Are you saying we are doing good while Bushie is in charge?

    Has a good environmental policy.

Though freaking anything is better then what we are going through now.

Now, McCain obviously picks a skirt to appeal to specific voters. Should a logical minded person understand what is going on? Apparently not...because they support her regardless because they are stuck on misplaced loyalty to the republican party

  9. Those reasons and the gun toting, teen pregnancy condoning, underage drinking promoting McCain campaign.

  10. There has to be someone for all the people with low IQ's to vote for.  By definition, half the people in the country are below average intelligence.  Paydirt for the democrats.

  11. I'm an independent voting for Obama because his environmental policy is better than mccain's.  Also because he doesn't have an extremist from the right wing on his ticket like Palin.  Also he is pro-choice.  These are just a very few of the reasons I am voting for Obama, his stance on the issues.

  12. One has to admit....His people and the media have marketed Obama pretty well... How else could an empty suit get so far in this particular political race?

His rise and platform REALLY reminds me of Carter..

    Obama = Carter 2.0

  13. One thing, he's not even fully black, his born name was Barry (he changed his name to Barack), his wife's a *****, he thinks he's better than everyone else and there's more reasons not to vote for him.

  14. maybe because he has a big dumbo ears and a goofy looking wife?

i think everything about obama is funny..his name and his followers

the america deserves this character to prove there is a worst case

scenerio..this country was built on Guns , God and Guts and if they

vote obama ..then good for them..they deserve whatever they get

  15. Easy I`d rather give him the opportunity then give the so called "maverick" a chance to once again tow the neo-con agenda.

  16. Besides hatred for Bush, a stupid war, a tanking economy, a rollback of freedoms, a social malaise and completely eroded sense of unity...why would anyone vote for Barack Hussein Obama ?

    I can't think of anything.

  17. substance or chemical abuse.;

  18. They'd vote for O'Bama because he promises to throw money at them when he gets in office. I'll never vote for him because it'll be my money he'll be throwing.

  19. Honey if you are a tax paying citizen in this country who is not RICH then that should be enough of a reason not to vote for Mccain. So with that and the HORRIBLE JOB Bush did ---AINT NO WAY SOMEONE WITH HALF OF A BRAIN WOULD VOTE FOR MCCAIN.The truth hurts but you are out of your mind if you think we want another 4 years like the last 8!

No Medicad for the elderly and no regard for us I just cant accept anymore of their lies and you should not either. WAKE UP AMERICA AND GET PASSED THE COLOR!!the days of burning crosses and hanging innocent people are over, dont let evil pull you in.

  20. I will gladly be voting for Obama. He is Not a Washington insider and maybe not corrupted by the lobbyist for Halliburton and Exxon yet. The christian right scares the h**l outta me and will be partying the day we get the stench out of the White House.

  21. He is the best choice.

The most intelligent. The best for the country.

If you don't see that, then please don't vote.  Go see a doctor for your obvious brain injury.

  22. When other politicians say he is the most liberal , untrained president who ever ran , well that gives me added incentive to vote for Obama.

I sure don't want the same old politician up in the white house and someone who is untrained has no bad habits to unlearn and hopefully not to indebted to big business .

  23. Slightly Dark Francis said, "Besides hatred for Bush, a stupid war, a tanking economy, a rollback of freedoms, a social malaise and completely eroded sense of unity...why would anyone vote for Barack Hussein Obama ?"

By "stupid war" do we mean Commander Obama' s rushing us full deployment into Pakistan, or still being in the Balkans twelve years-plus now? Or do we mean the War on Poverty?

How is a growing economy, albeit  not as fast as the last five years, tanking?

Specifically which freedoms have been rolled back?

The only freedoms of mine I feel threatened are the ones guaranteed me under the 2nd, and the rollback there ain't coming from the White House.

As for "unity", the culture wars, like the military industrial complex, and the police state were only started in 2001, and will be endedf in 2009, right?

  24. I can read and decipher information so I would have no idea why these people are behind Obama. You are right it is just an emotion vote whether voting for a black guy makes you feel better about yourself, voting for a racist because you hate whites also, but logically I have no idea.
