I know Jim Abbott essentially only had one arm, and that Curtis Pride was deaf (or deaf/mute) but I am curious about other players that I am mising. Maybe Mordecai "3-finger" Brown too?

  1. A-Rod is a tard, does that count

  2. Jim Eisenreich played for the Twins and Phillies and suffered from Tourettes's syndrome. He actually lost a few years before finally being able to cope with it through medication. I respected the guy.

Antonio Alfonseca, who relieved for the Marlins, had six fingers on his pitching hand.

  3. Dummy Hoy was deaf (and as a result he was responsible for the creation of hand signals by umpires).

Not sure if you'd consider it a disability, but Antonio Alfonseca and Franquelis Osoria are both polydactyl with an extra finger on their throwing hand. There's also Eddie Gaedel, a little person put in to bat for the St. Louis Browns by Bill Veeck (who himself was an amputee who, believe it or not, had holes cut into his wooden leg so as to use as  an ashtray)

Pitcher Hugh 'One Arm' Dailey had lost his left hand, while Ryne Duren was so nearsighted as to almost be blind without his glasses and Bert Shepard had his right leg amputated but still managed to pitch for the Senators.

~Tom<3Morello~ - Gorzelanny and LaRoche are still teammates. LaRoche was traded to the Pirates from the Braves and have been teammates since 2007.

  4. Depends on what your definition of a disability is. Ron Santos didn't know he was a Type 1 Diabetic until he signed his first pro contract and went through the physical. There are at least two pitchers in the MLB with Type 1 diabetes, but Ron was first diagnosed many years ago before we had all the advances in medicine.

  5. Adam Laroche and Tom Gorzelanny (former teammates; laroche is now with the braves i believe) have ADHD

  6. Mark McGwire

no one knows this, his right leg is shorter than his left leg

  7. Pete Gray during the war he played 1 year his arm was cut off 3 inches below his shoulder.

    OF

    St.Louis Browns
