Besides cookies, what are some ways I can use up lots of peanut butter?

I have several jars of peanut butter (smooth and crunchy), and I don't want them to go to waste. I thought about making peanut butter cookies, but what are some other ways to use up the peanut butter?

  1. i guess you can try and spread it on a celery stick. i used to eat those when i was a small child.

    in my oatmeal

    banana and pb sandwich

    banana, pb topped with cereal

    Melted over ice cream

    swirled into brownie mix

    blended with frozen banana and milk

    on celery topped with raisins

    just to mention a few

    at school, i stick a jar in my locker and eat it throughout the day.

    i'm not sure how normal that is,

    but i am sure that its good.

  5. I just made these this past weekend, they are sooo good, I omitted the coconut and the nuts and used Rice Khttp://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Peanut-Butt... cereal instead.

  6. pb and jelly sandwiches, pb and banana sandwiches, put it on waffles or pancakes with syrup, mix it with syrup and eat it on crackers, heated up and served with ice cream, pb and graham crackers are wonderful. make a cake and make pb icing. pb pie, pb rice crispy squares you just add about 1 and a half cup of pb to your heated up marshmallows and rice krispies to do this. and like they said above just eat it by its self.  

  7. Peanut butter balls/buckeyes. 2 cups of peanut butter and 2 tablespoons of butter heated together in the pan. Add 1 cup of powered sugar to make a "dough". Roll into small balls and chill for 2 hours. Then melt chocolate either in the microwave or on the stove. Dip the chilled peanut butter balls in the chocolate so that only half is covered. Yummy

    • Cook the noodles according to the package directions.

    • Heat all ingredients in a frying pan except for the noodles until they melt together.

    • Stir into the noodles. Add veggies or cubed tofu, if desired.

    Enlightenment Bars

    These granola-based treats are sweet and easy to make—they’re great for packing with your lunch or taking on a picnic.

    1 cup maple syrup

    1/2 cup brown sugar

    1/2 cup cocoa powder

    1 tsp. vanilla extract

    Few pinches cinnamon

    1 cup all-natural crunchy peanut butter

    Granola

    • In a saucepan, mix the first 5 ingredients and cook until it comes to a boil, stir constantly.

    • Turn off the heat and mix in the peanut butter. Then add the granola (however much you want in order to obtain the desired consistency).

    • Pour into a baking pan and chill until firm.

    Makes 8 to 10 servings

    Fancy Thai Ramen

    Everyday pantry items create this exotic noodle dish.

    1 pkg. ramen noodles, oriental flavor

    1/4 cup peanut butter, chunky or smooth

    2 Tbsp. soy sauce

    3 Tbsp. vinegar

    1 Tbsp. sesame oil

    Sugar, to taste

    Veggies of your choice, optional

    • Boil and drain the ramen noodles.

    • Add the peanut butter, soy sauce, vinegar, and sesame oil and stir well. If desired, add the sugar and veggies. Enjoy.

    Makes 1 serving

    Vegan Rice Krispy Bars

    1 cup corn syrup

    1 cup brown sugar

    1 cup peanut butter

    6-8 cups puffed rice cereal

    • Put the corn syrup and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently.

    Remove from the heat and stir in the peanut butter and puffed rice.

    • Press into a greased 9x9-inch pan and cool. Cut into bars.

    Makes about a dozen bars

    Peanut Butter Pie

    Garnish this creamy, dreamy pie with chocolate curls.

    1 8-oz. container vegan cream cheese

    1 cup sugar

    1 tsp.vanilla

    1/2-1 cup peanut butter

    1 16-oz. container nondairy whipped cream

    1 graham cracker pie crust

    • Mix together the vegan cream cheese and the sugar. Add the vanilla and the peanut butter. Fold in the whipped cream. Pour into the crust. Place in the freezer until hard, about 3 to 4 hours.

    Makes 1 pie


  9. If you have kids around, you can use it to make edible playdough:

    12 oz Peanut butter

    6 tb Honey

    1/2 c (to 1 1/2 cups) nonfat dry -milk powder

    Mix all ingredients together. Add more honey if it is too try and more powered milk if it is too sticky.

    cupcakes or sandwiches. Although,

    the best thing to do is donate some

    of the peanut butter jars to a food drive.

    You should give it to someone who really

    needs it.

    9 cups Chex® cereal (any variety)

    1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

    1/2 cup peanut butter

    1/4 cup butter or margarine

    1 teaspoon vanilla

    1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

    -1. Stove-Top Directions: Into large bowl, measure cereal; set aside. In 1-quart saucepan, heat chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter over low heat, stirring frequently, until melted. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag. Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

    1. Into large bowl, measure cereal; set aside.

    2. In 1-quart microwavable bowl, stir together chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter. Microwave uncovered on High 1 minute; stir. Microwave about 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag.

    3. Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

    you can melt some with a little water and use as peanut satay dipping sauce and marinade for chicken kabobs

    let sauce cool and make spaghetti with peanut sauce also known as cold noodles with peanut sauce

  16. I put some banana's creamy pb, and milk in the blender. It's kind of a melted milksahke consistency, and a nice snack. Healthy and filling. I also sometimes add a little chocolate milk.

    In lg. bowl add 1/2 chocolate chips

    1/2 peanut butter.

    place in microwave for 40sec. stir until smooth. Then add about 1 1/2 cups crispix or life cereal. stir till all is coated. place powdered sugar (2 cups) in resealable bag toss to coat. Put in fridge. about hr. take out with sloted spoon. Put in new bag or in bowl.
