  1. I'm 14, and I had/have 3 lawns this summer.  Not a lot, but enough to make some good money for my age($95 for two weeks).  This job has taught me what the real work force is like.  It tought me discipline, how to work with people, and how to please the customer.  I live in New Orleans, and I have to compete with about 6 other "professional" mowers in my neighborhood, so I have to go the extra mile to to make sure I did a good job.  Also, another thing I like about this job is it gives me a respect for money.  In the mall with friends I'll see something I want that is $20, but then I'll ask myself: "Is this worth one lawn?" most of the time the answer is No, so I save my hard earned money.  I save 80 percent and spend 20 percent, and now I have $1000 in a CD and $600 in savings.  Above all, it taught me to get a good education so I don't have to do this for a living.
