I'd say Toyotas (the Corolla and Yaris espeacially). Also, Hyundai's are getting better so check out the Elantra or Accent. Nissan is good too (the Versa and Sentra).

first of all a civic is a honda. but if u want a cheap car go with kia. of course their made cheap too. Nissan versa. Volkswagen.

Chevy Cavaliers or Cobalts, Ford Focus. Being a car dealer, these cars for the most part are reliable and economical to repair. As far as mid size cars the ford taurus and chevy Lumina are about the most reliable for american cars.

The VW Jetta is very reasonable and reliable and it is a really good looking car, also the Toyota Corolla is a great car which gets excellent gas mileage.

Mazda3 are fairly reliable. Had one for 4 years, no issues whatsoever.

You may want to try the Fit, Yaris, Altima and Camry a as well if you want a Civic and Accord alternative.
