I don't think you have to go any further than your first proposed explanation. Pretty funny hoax, as hoaxes go. Trust nothing on Youtube unless you've got some independent evidence to back it up.

I would say that the persons body is under the table, and there is a hole set up for the head. I think the animal body is a puppet. If they showed under the table, I would say this is a typical side show illusion, using mirrors to hide the persons body under the table. However, the fact that they keep the camera above the table tells me that the camera men are in on the hoax and it was probably done for the camera.

It is not possible for it to happen in nature as the chromosome count is very different for a human and cat and a hybrid species would not be possible with our current technology.

Perhaps aliens could do this, since they have afterall, mastered the art of intergalactic travel as well as superior anal probing techniques.

The genetic make up of two or more distinct animals were some how tampered with and injected into a surroget mother and was allowed to mature to adulthood. Which isnt actually outside of reason however I would doubt that the resulting creature would survive.

it's simple, there is some kind of furry animal lying on the bed thing, the person is lying inside the box/bed, and a hole is cut through the top for him to put his head, you can tell by the angle his head is at!
