  1. Never. EVER.

  2. That would be in 1973 and 1979 under Nixon, then Ford.

And then Carter unfortunately was burdened with the task of rebuilding the pile of cards.

Did you know Sercet Service attendance documents clearly prove George Bush Snr was in Iran at the trie of the Hostage Crisis, just prior to the election.

And wasn't Contra just shortly after Teflon B Grade Reagan slimed his way in?

    Surely a mere coincidence...

  3. The seventies. The last time that peak oil was a problem. You had to become a major oil importer. Don't let people fool you with c**p. The only reason the economy went bad in the 70s was because of major energy problems. Same thing is happening today.

No the US used to be the number one oil exporter in the world. Then production in the US peaked in the 70s. Then you became the largest oil importer in the world. The US uses 21 million barrels of oil a day. You produce 5. 8 million barrels. The world uses in the region of 85 to 89 million barrels of oil a day and growing. The world's oil producing nations produce 85 million barrels a day tops. There is no artificial scarcity. Oil is a finite source. Ask d**k Cheney.

  4. You could argue that it was worse in the late 70's after Vietnam, though average wages were higher than now, more people had health insurance and there was no housing foreclosure pandemic.

  5. Go back and study the Carter years. It's a period that the Democrats would like to forget. And then compare Carters economic policies with Obama's purposed policies.

  6. You hit the nail. It hasnt since the depression.

  7. The late seventies under Jimmy Carter comes to mind. Double digit inflation, no gas, and double digit unemployment. Yeah, I think that was a whole lot worse.

  8. No foreclosures of homes because interest rates were 16% , so no one was buying

  9. any time a republican has been in office
