Question:

Besides the Hockey Section, what other section is the best for making you laugh?

i've seen some beauts on here, every now and then, by chance.

i wonder what the demographics of Y/A are. seems to me that people on here are either:

1) bored (at work)

2) no job, no life

3) they "specialize" in a few sections. like one or two, because that's their hobby. but they enjoy "normal" lives.

(most seem to fit in category #2. i happen to be one of the fortunate(?) ones who fit in #1.)

to make this a hockey question ... in this SCF ...

- Will Holmstrom's butt turn out to be a perpetrator again?

- What is the likelihood of a shutout?

- More or less penalties than the league average during playoffs?

- who is the Pens best Penalty Killer (don't say MAF)?

  1. LOL...i like polls and surveys, the men's health section and any other sport section,

  2. basketball section guaranteed laughs...and soccer section especially if there's just been a game between two rivals, latin ball clubs, and the irish league.

i would probably fall in the other category...which would be a mix of 1-3

all i hear from the sports commentators here is "and the guy with the big butt will also show up in game 1". i think they think they're funny.

hmm well i'm just going to credit the offense of both these teams and say there will be no shutouts...but maybe there'll be low scoring results.

well apparently the refs have received a memo to call everything and make calls that break a teams spirit...but aside from that i really hope they let these two teams play hockey. i think there'll be enough penalties.

haha. thanks for the clarity. i will put my vote in for sergei gonchar being a "shutdown" guy... ...i'd vote for some other people for the #2 spot like staal, orps, before saying gilly cause he's an honorary leafs. ugh.

"The Penguins penalty killers have improved all season and are thriving in the playoffs. The team ranks second in the playoffs on the PK at 90.9 percent."

lmao shock! look shock-awe some is still alive, even though you changed your name. the guy in the 2nd link shock, he has future vi (What? viral disease? mangina?). lmao rofling at those links guys. thanks.

  3. I stick with the hockey section - any more of this stuff and I'll never get anything done!  I'm a #3 but should ration the time, otherwise the stay at home mom duties will suffer!

Probably, but I also reckon it should go independent.  I recommended Draper's beard getting its own agent, maybe a business opportunity here?

    Don't even THINK that word

    There seem to be loads

I was pretty impressed with Mr Gonchar making a save - how he did that and not make a foul was wonderful

  4. if i'm bored i just go thru the main page to find funny headings and find stuff like this

and i got a best answer on the first one  HA.HA!

The best must be the STD's section

  5. - I don't think they will disallow any goals, but I am sure there will be one or two that could be called off according to that ruling in the last series.

    - Slim unless Malkin has a bad series.  I expect some good scoring in a fast Euro style series.  The Red Wings dont get shutout.

    - Less, I expect a open skating game. If the Wings look as undisciplined with penalities as they did in Game 6  I will be sad.

    - If we can't say MAF then who cares. With the way Detroit is playing shorthanded MAF might need to be your best guy on the powerplay also.

Also, bored at work am I.

Homes: When I read the Holmstrom part all I could think about was Holmstrom standing by a pool with a big gapped tooth smile shaking his *** while wearing red hockey pants.  Perma-scarred.

  6. I don't usually visit other sections.

I think I would fall into #3 the most. Couldn't be #1 since I have no computer access at work, Couldn't be #2 since I have a job and a life...So that leaves #3.

    1. I have noticed that Homers rear end becomes a target for the refs when the opposing teams D doesn't try hard enough to clear him out of there. These failed clearing attempts result in Homer perfectly screening the goalie, and either the goalie sells it, or the refs call a wonderful reputation call.

    2. Won't happen IMO.

    3. I think there will be more in the first two to three games, the bulk coming in the first two periods. The fact that the best refs make it to the Finals means that they should be more consistent in calling penalties. The refs know that they will be spotlighted if they make a few questionable calls resulting in something as little as a change in momentum, to something as big as a lost game.

    4. I honestly don't know.

  7. religion & spirituality! Keeps me (right now a #1) entertained as well

  8. Men's Health is the best..Questions like "I have a 3 inch p***s and I'm 16 is that OK?" or "It burns when I pee what does that mean?"

I am the unfortunate one-Bored at work.

If I can go a day without bringing up Homers butt I'd be happy.

    Not very likely

More clutching and grabbing I'm afraid

I'd go with Gonchar even though Malkin's Shortie in Game 2 was a back breaker.

  9. Your mom makes me laugh!

    Bored at work

  10. I guess I fall into category 2- I start my job again monday. I've been bored, cooped(is that how you spell it?) up in a small dorm room all winter with not much to do, thats why I used yahoo so much. Now I've just become addicted.

Stay away from the yahoo answers section. It is as boring as h**l. I thought the question 'Who will win the cup?' was asked a lot here- it is nothing compared to 'How many points do I need to get to level 2?' in that section. Anyways, the men's health section makes me laugh but not nearly as much as this one.

    1. lol probably not

    2. It doesn't seem very high,  but there were some series last year with high scoring teams and they wound up being low scoring games.

    3. Less penalties during the finals

  11. I'm a #3. I have a job & go to college.  Mens' health is soo stupid and perverse..but funny

mmm why does that song "I Like Big Butts" by Sir Mix a Lot come to mind?

    no way

less than the Ducks from last season's SCF...lol

meh  no  MAF   ok the Gonch

  12. I usually laugh when I read questions in Polls and Surveys and Politics, but I spend most of my time in Hockey and Baseball, I fit in number 1. I'm only really on here when I am at work.

Holmstroms butt will ceceed from his body and claim independance.

I'd say less than 10%. Both goalies are talented, but both offenses are fantastic.

I'd say less, only because people are more cautious and their is alot less fighting.

    Hmmm, maybe Staal and Orpik.

  13. I come to Hockey to learn stuff.  Sadly, I usually don't.  Polls&Surveys can make you REALLY angry but it can make you laugh, too.

Holmstrom can't get a break and gets no respect.  Usually he does not care.

Shut outs will more than likely not be a part of the SCF.

Less penalties, I hope.  I don't want the cup decided by the myopic view of some guy on skates following faster guys on skates.

I  do not know this.  I will check back to see the concensus.

  14. I do not go on any other sections...most of the time I just stay in hockey.

I am at work.  I run the show, so I just look really busy all of the time.  When one of my employees comes in here with a problem, I smile, but purposely look a little perturbed, just to confuse them.  I am your typically 40 hours a week, weekend off (but sometimes have to come in or have to work late) person.  I have not gone unemployed since I was 14 years old and lost a babysitting job (they moved).

Holmstrom has ghetto booty.  I heard that in the summer, he is planning on auditioning as a shaking-the-rump by the pool dancer for a Jay-Z video.

I think a shutout is not likely.  I think there is too much pressure on both goalies in this SCF.

I beg for less penalties.  So far this playoff season, it feels pretty much like I am watching regular season, in that respect.

Brooks Orpik?  I have seen him clear the puck when times were tough.

Scott:  I had the same visual about Holmstrom.

"You":  I totally forgot about that!  LOL.  I do ask an occasional question in Banjarmasin.  Maybe I'll do one tomorrow.  :)
