I have approximately 3/4 of acre that is completely overgrown. I want to remove the underbrush cleaning up this area as it is my property. My lawn tractor cannot get through.

Since I am doing this alone, What should I use

besides grit and perseverance.

  1. Go to your local rental center and get a small tractor with a bush hog or get a walk behind bushwhacker. If you get the tractor you should also get a box scrape with rip tines to get rid of the roots when you are finished. The tractor is the best the bushwhacker is the cheapest.

  2. You may check at a local rental store and try to rent something that will mow it the first time. DR Field and brush mower for example they will run over as big as an 1" or so brush.
