I would like to get ideas for a great 1st birthday present for my son. I was thinking about something that can benefit him later on, like stock in something?

  1. A piggy bank that's blue and says:

    "______'s First piggy bank"

  2. Stock? For a 1 year old? I personally would just let him be a kid, but you are entitled to your opinion!

    :-)

  3. mabye a first savings account and put some money into it for him?

  4. That's fine and loaded with great intentions, but how about a gift he'll appreciate right now.If you know some of his hobbies, likes or passions you could surprise him with a nice little portrait made from a photo depicting exactly what or whom he likes. This can be done at http://www.paintyourlife.com for a reasonable fee and according to your specifications!

If you are looking for an affordable gift urgently, the same company also has a studio for oil paintings reproductions. So, visit them at http://www.oil-paintings-reproductions.c... and take a look at their 'stock on sale'.

  5. Premium bonds? start a savings account for birthday/xmas etc monies?

  6. what my grandma did for me on my first birthday she got me a encyclopedia set as well as a globe and she would read me my bedtime story from the encyclopedia- i liked henry the 8th! no cinderella for me.

  7. A savings bond

  8. I wouldnt get stock right now unless you are sure its a very stable company.

A piggy bank is good.  We did that with our two year old.  Last time we emptied it, there was about 30 dollars in change he found around the house or was given by people.  We put it in a trust for him.  Most banks wont allow you to open a savinga account for a 1 year old but you can open a trust account.

  9. I think a Savings account is a good idea. You or your wife will have to be the main person on it because he is too young, but when he turns 18 it's all his. Plus, when they're that little he won't remember what he did or didn't get. Good Luck!

  10. Hi, how about personalized books? Kids love to hear their own name in the storyline. Go to this website http://www.tlc-expressions.com They have lots of titles like Sesame Street, Spider-Man, Batman, Dinosaur Land, Teddy Bear Land, s****.-Doo, Noah's Ark, God Loves You, Sports titles and so many more. Check it out - they're very reasonably priced, and make a wonderful, unique & special gift... It's something they can enjoy now and keep forever!! Good Luck!
