Best Age for Giving Birth..??

Question

In your opinion, what is too young and too old to have a baby and why? Does it have something to do with the age you or your parents were when you or they had a child or just your own personal opinion?

I think you're too young to have a baby if you are under the age of 20.  I understand though, that sometimes certain people are more mature than others at that age due to what has gone on in their lives.  I think 50 is too old to have a baby since, most 50 year olds I know don't have the energy to keep up with one 24/7.

Just giving an estimation, I would say...26 to 42. My mom had me at 33 which is fine. I had my first at 23 which I still consider too young, and I have friends that are having them in their forties. My friends that are having kids now, while mine are 22,18 and 16 are always tired and wish that they would have had them younger...but everyone is different! Just don't have them too young, you're only young once.

The best age to have babies is when it is right with you... However you should be old enough to make that decision as well.  A person should at least finish school and get a good carreer going then they can think of babies in thier own time...

There is no set time for having babies you have to do it when you life is ready for it.  Everyone matures and grows at different rates...

i think 24-28 is prime age to have a baby.

i'm 16 and my mom had me when she was 39. and all my friend's moms are at least 20 years younger than her. so she feels like a grandma around all of them.

but then i dont think a mother should be too young cause then you hear "i thought she was your sister" all the time.

ok im 15, and i sure dont want a baby for another 10 years.  

i know that they're a lot of responsibility.

they youngest u should have it is 24, too old would b 50.

cause u need 2 b financially stable and u dont wanna s***w ur babies life up, and make them grow up with no money.  dont do this til ur ready, how old r u? (consider that)

also consider that u need 2 live the rest of ur life, and if u have a baby  ur life wont b the same.

just do it when u feel the time is right.

I'm 25 years old and I had my daughter on January 4, 2008. I think that is the perfect age (atleast it was for me). Everyone is different and it all just depends on your life style. As for you, you seem like you have a good head on your shoulders and being that you are married and done with grad school and have a career, I'd say you can wait as long or as little as you want. You sound pretty set! My husbands mother had him at the age of 40 and she's proud of it. My mom had me at the age of 19, and she's proud of it. So see, everyone is different :0) Good luck to you!

I have 2 sons..First one is almost 8years, the other is almost 7weeks..I was 20 with my first and now 28 with my second..Youngest I  believe is 23 and oldest is 34..

i am a parent and a grandparent as well as a daughter.  i believe the best time is when you can provide a stable home and 2 parents.  when you are educated enough to get a good job to support yourself and kid in case you lose the dad to death or divorce, mature enough to set aside your own concerns and your life is stable enough that you are not in chaos.  Not interested in partying, willing to stay home and read to the kid or play at the park.  But not so old that you have less energy or are prone to birth defects etc.  I recommend 25-30 as the best age to become a mom.

I think that there are pros and cons to any age you have a baby. I have had children from all ages: 16 to 37. The biggest thing is that you should have enough money, skills and time for the child. A marriage is the best place to have a child.

i feel around 25- 30. you should be in your right time of your life and goals, then you can prepare for a child, because its alot of responsibility. once you find out who you want to be in life and have a husband. then you can raise a child the way it should be. sometimes when you have a child too young, yo never had a chance to know who you are and get a chance to enjoy your life.

I DON'T THINK AGE MATTERS. IT SHOULD BE WHNE YOU CAN AFFROD TO HAVE A CHILD AND DOES YOUR LIFE STYLE AT THE TIME FIT TO HAVE A CHILD. Age is not a deciding factor, but if you can financially handle a child and are mature enough then you are ready to have children. I had my first when I was 25, a perfect age for me. But for others it may be 20 and others 50.

The best age in my opinion for having children is 22 through 36.

I believe anything under 18 is too young to have a baby simply because your body and mind are still growing and maturing and it is really hard to become a teen mom for a number of reasons.  

Over 40 is too old because you're starting to run higher risks for different medical issues in both mother and baby.  Also, it's starting to get harder to keep up with the little ones, and you want to be able to see your grandchildren...if your children also wait until 40 to have children of their own, you'll be 80 when you become a grandma, and sadly some people don't see 80.

There is no age, it is when you are financially stable, and when you have enough time set aside to raise a child. Also when you are sure that you have support with you.
