  1. I used to live in Alaska and the best one is with Pricess cruise line. If you leave out of Seattle you get to see all the great little towns and there is a Stop in Juneau (I have lived there) and there is so much to see there that most people cant see it all. Since Juneau is a land locked place(boat or plane in and out only) its a great little town to visit but never live there trust me. I would say you have more choices then a cruise. If you fly into Anchorage and set up times and dates to see the suroundings its cheaper and you get to do more. there are privete plane flights you can take to lakes that you can only get to by air and spend the day walking on a glacier or even more like seeing some other great places up there. I have lived in both Juneau and Achorage and loved them both. What ever you choose it will be one great experince you will want to show the family. If you want any help picking what you want to do just e-mail me and I can get you all the information you want on some fun things for you and your husband to do while on one great trip. Like if you want to see some whales I know a small cruise company that does that. If you want to see Glacier Bay there is another company for that (just so you know the large cruise ships rarely go there) If you want to take a trip to walk on a glacier there is a privete company that does this for really cheap. There is another thing that people do allot that is Fishign in the open Sea and there are comanys out there for that one as well. I know so much about Alaska cause my family still lives up there and plus I go back to see what I never did see cause I figured I would get the chance to later but never did. My e-mail address is Lyte2121@yahoo.com and in the subject line just put Alaska vacation. Have a Great Trip up there its a wonderful trip by land or sea.

I am also giving you some links to go to and the second one is a list of things to do in Alaska just so you know them all without having to read way to much into what you can do up there. The last link is the best of them all to help you out. I really hope that you get to see all the wonderful things about Alaska and just so you know You dont need a passport to see Alaska since its a US State. Most people think this and its funny to all Alaskans when we hear the questions about needign a passport up there. I know that Alaska seems like its another counrty but really its not. Heck living up there it seemed that way as well. So again have a great trip you will love it no matter what you do.

  2. If you love nature and want to see plenty of wildlife then I would suggest a cruisetour. At least 11 days or more. You will get a 7 day cruise plus a 4 day land tour. Princess offers several. With Princess you stay at Denali Nature Park and recieve a tour threw Denali National Park then a great bus ride to Fairbanks with a river boat cruise on a REAL paddlewheeler and then to return to Pike's River Front Lodge. A 5 star rated lodge with great food, view of the river, shuttle buses to downtown Fairbanks & right across the street from the Fairbanks Airport. Cruisetour 9N is a 11 day vacation you will never forget starting at $1400.00.

To save yourself some extra money to enjoy your land tour go either in May or Sept. Lower fares & you still see wildlife.

Visit Princess.com or call !-800-Princess for a free brouchure. If you belong to AAA they have brouchures & can save you lots of money too.

Sept. all stores in port have 50% off sales. Example t-shirt on ship $15.00 in port & 5.00 or visit Alaska Shirt.com & see for yourself.

    Enjoy.

  3. Princess Cruise - I have been on their ships 3 times and that's where my parents celebrated their 40th anniversary

  4. If you'd like to do something special and nice for your age group then I would recommend Regent.  Check out www.rssc.com to see if this line would be what might interest you.

If you're looking for something a bit more of an adventure then I would consider Cruise West.  Check out www.cruisewest.com to see if this might be of interest.

You may also want to consider Holland-America or Celebrity.

I specialize in these types of cruises and would be glad to discuss this with you at no obligation.  Please call me at 866-485-8175.

  5. For your ages, any of the Alaska cruises would be fine.  Carnival does tend to attract a younger crowd...but not necessarily in Alaska.

    How active are you two?

Holland America tends to have the average age around 65...

Celebrity is a good option, Royal Caribbean too.

I prefer Princess for Alaska, as they have the best pre/post cruise tour options...JMHO...

    The decision is ultimately yours...

    Good luck...

  6. Hello.

Your choice in cruiseline depends on who is going with you.  If it is just you two, then Holland or Celebrity would be perfect, as their most of their demographic is from 45 to 65.  IF there are any children or younger people going with you, then Royal Caribbean would best match the family because RCCL is best for kids and family as a whole.  ***Note--if you are going during low season (before June or after August), no matter which cruiseline you cruise with, the amount of children is minimal*** My family and I have gone with five different cruiselines in the past 10 years to Alaska and we love Celebrity and Holland because they are very elegent, lavish and sophisticated. Even though there were some children that went with us, we spent our time together enjoying the shore excursions and the shows onboard.  If you have any more questions about the cruiseline, itinerary, etc, you can email me!

    Thanks!
