What would you say is the best Asian team in recent history? National team and club

National team...Australia

Club...Urawa

Why do i get a TD

Australia has more European based players than any other Asian team. Australia was the only Asian team to pass the group stages at the 2006 World cup. Even AFC seeded Australia as the number 1 team for the WC Qualifiers

Even Iran and Saudi Arabia are better than SKorea

National team have to be South Korea.They finished 4th in 2002 World Cup.They got a lots of qualility players such as Park Ji Sung,Ahn Jung Kwan,Lee Chun Soo,Lee Young Pyo & Seol Ki Hyeon.

Club have to be Urawa Reds from Japan.Attacking styles football suit them a lot!

The FIFA ranking of Japan is the top in Asian countries at the moment and they have the best Asian player Nakamura of Celtic.

And their woman team is in the best 4 of Olympics in Beijing.

Club Team- Urawa Red Diamonds

They are Champion of AFC Champions League 2007 and patricipated in FIFA Club World Cup as the representative of Asia. And they still remain in the race for next  FIFA Club World Cup 2008.
