Best August destinations?

Hi,

I have to choose between a few August destinations and I can't decide. I'm flying out of Stockholm and my choices are:

1) Dublin, and a tour of Ireland

2) Croatian coast in August

3) Belgrade and Serbia

4) Bulgarian Black sea coast

5) Turkey

I arrive in the beginning of August, and I know that's prime tourist season so I guess what I'm asking is:

in August,

1) which place will be the least touristy?

2) which place has the lowest prices?

3) which place has the best TEFL market (teaching English for a couple months)

4) which place has the best combination of natural scenary, local cuisine, and friendly people.

  1. Visit Serbia, you won't regret!

Serbia is a beautiful country and people are friendly, also food and music are something special. Night life is extremely good and there are many nice places you need to visit. Belgrade is beautiful and there is also Novi Sad, which is second-largest city after Belgrade and it has a nickname Serbian Athens. You have to see it.

Good luck and have a nice time in Serbia!!!

  2. Serbia will be the least touristy and the cheapest.  It is also an incredibly beautiful country, I loved Belgrade and the people of the Balkans are really friendly... I went to a bar with some friends and we didn't know it was opening night and we were made special guests onstage and given free drinks all night.  It was class.  You should also visit Bosnia and you can easily reach the Croatian coast which should not be missed but will be extremely busy in August.  The Bulgarian coast is popular with expats and you may find it easier to settle into a community and look for work.  You may struggle to find work as a teacher in Europe in August as most people are on holidays.  Look at jobs available in summer camps in Dublin - a lot of foreign kids go to Ireland to study in the summer.  I doubt there will be much of a market for english teaching in summer in eastern europe.  Turkey I have never been to - maybe someone else will be able to answer in this regard.
