Best Bareback pad?

What is the best bareback pad you have had/tried. I have looked at the reinsman contoured tacky too bareback pad, but its pretty expensive...does anyone have it? I am looking for a pad that protects my horses back(it is somewhat bony) and gives me the closeness that come wiht bareback riding.

I Will be walk/trot/cantering in it so I don't want one that slips, adn i want to have a grippy surface, but not be very expensive. Does such a pad exist? The chepaest kind are the really fleecy ones, but I have heard the slip alot and they look really cheap. I've been researching alot and I cant seem to find a happy medium between all the things I have listed.

Include links if you can

THANKS

These people sell good stuff. I have a bareback pad form them and I use it everyday. I would suggst you buy a breastplate to go with any bareback pad, as they may to slip a little when going uphill etc.

  2. I think I answered a question just like this...

I like the Toklat brand, the Cool Back style ...http://www.toklat.com/dyn_prodlist.php?k...

I own one and like it very much.  I will purchase another one if I need it.

I've tried the other cotton and fleecy one and they

do slip if you look on eBay you could find one that

    isn't too high priced

    good luck
