Best Big Screen TV Out There?

Question

Our big screen TV is like a century old and the picture is just about gone.. can't watch it for more than a couple hours or it gets horrible. I've had my eye on an LG flat screen.. but which should i get? Plasma, HD, LCD, Blue-Ray.. i don't know anything about any of these.. please explain. I have time warner digital cable with the big screen i have now.. will that work with any tv i get? I know time warner has the HD channels that i can upgrade to if i were to get an HD tv?

We have a 56" Samsung DLP 1080i HDTV, and we love it. You have to have at least 10 feet between the couch and the tv, to watch it comfortable for hours. We got really nice reclining sofa, and chair, and we love to watch movies. It's like being in our own Theater.

I recommend the DLP, the picture is amazing.

I agree, get one with DLP technology.

If you want the best - get Pioneer KURO or Panasonic plasmas.  1080p resolution.  Pioneer comes in sizes up to 60" , Panasonic - 65".  Get the largest screen you can get.

I own a 46" and a 65" Panasonic Plasma. The picture quality is beyond awesome. I use a Sony Playstation 3 to watch Blu-ray movies. Simply stunning.
