I'm looking to purchase my first bike fairly soon here, I'm only 19, and money doesn't grow on trees, I'm going to sell my car and buy a p.o.s. car and a decent bike for around 4000, maybe a little more, the thing is this will be my first bike, and i don't know how to drive them yet, now i read about buying a 250cc to learn, but in Florida the economy is horrible, and i feel that it'd be a mistake, i don't feel id be able to sell the 250 when the time comes to upgrade, so taking into consideration that id like to buy a used bike for around 4000, to learn on and also that will be fast enough for me to enjoy when i can drive good, what would be the bike to buy, also I'm not buying this bike to drive fast, I'm buying it for the mileage, but i may want to drive fast in the future, when I'm more experienced, so please someone let me know of a good brand and model to learn on and also enjoy when I'm experienced enough please list them, and please obviously don't list a 2008, i only have about 4000$, the class i like is sport, i was looking at the 2003 honda cbr, the 2003 yamaha cr i beleive, and the 2003 kawasaki ninja, if that helps any please try to the best to answer this question

  1. I would go with the Ninja 500R. not the 250. resale is better than the 250. I put on a muzzy exhaust and jetted the carb. It's alot of fun.
