    Ali/Foreman

    Marciano/Walcott

    Lewis/Holyfield II

    Tyson/Douglas

    Dempsey/Willard

    In no particular order.

  5. Klitschko Vs Lewis

These two (super heavyweights) were truly trying their best to kill each other.

Neither fighter has been able (klitschko) or has wanted to fight (lewis) after it.

A true on the edge of your seat fight.

  6. dude!!!  it will be JOSE LUISE CASTILLIO VS  DIEGO CORRALES I

  7. Man this is a difficult one! I've watched probably 200 fights in my time and really had trouble ever picking ONE greatest fight. But off the top of my head I'll say it was the "Fight Of The Century" Ali vs. Fraizer 1 in 1971. I wasnt alive then but have watched it many times. This fight lived up to all the hype. Two guys who really didn't like each other just pounding away at each other round after round! And it was the first time Ali was knocked down in his professional career.

  8. George Foreman vs. Ron Lyle.  It was a war.  Each guy hit the floor several times.  By the 5th round both were exhausted.  Foreman wound up and thres a huge right hand and knocked Lyle out.

I taped that fight, but my wife taped some soap opera over it and I lost it.  I know I'll see it again some day, and I'll be ready with a "safe" DVD.  It was everything a fight could be.  All offense, no defense.

  9. Short but sweet

    HAGLER V HEARNS!!!

  10. Corrales vs Castillo 1 - May '05 - It was an absolute bloodbath.  Both guys took extraordinary punishment and just when it looked like Castillo was going to knock him out, Corrales stormed back to stop Castillo.

Ward vs Gatti 1 - May '02 - Both their 2nd the 3rd fights were very good, but their 1st was GREAT!!!  I watched it on my feet, feeling the impact of every punch and cheering with every momentum change.

Hagler vs Hearns - April '85 - 3 rounds of sheer brutality.  Just an awesome slugfest from the opening bell.

Foreman vs Lyle - Jan '76 - It was like Rock em Sock em Robots with both fighters hitting the canvas before Foreman finally bombed him out of there.

Frazier vs Ali I - March '71 - The Thrilla in Manilla (their 3rd fight) might be more famous, but I thought the 1st fight was better.  Two of the greatest fighters, both with legitimate claims to the heavyweight title, slugging it out at Madison Square Garden.

Marciano vs Walcott I - Sept '52 - Rocky was down early, bleeding throughout and trailing on the cards, but he was able to win the title with a breathtaking 1 punch knockout.  One of histories most famous punches.  My uncle was at the Municiple Stadium in Philadlephia to see it and he said how the punch echoed through the arena like a shotgun going off.  I still have the original program and ticket for that fight, one of my most cherished possesions.

And if you want some other classics, look at Chavez vs Taylor I, Graziano vs Zale I & II, Barerra vs McKinney, Moorer vs Cooper.

I hope I gave you enough great fights to find on DVD and Youtube to keep you busy for a while.

  11. This fight occurred in the year that i was born. Julio Cesar Chavez vs Meldrick Taylor 1. It was in 1990 and this fight is just an unbelievable fight, i have no idea how both fighters were able to take so much damage and still be standing. IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THIS FIGHT THEN YOU ARE MISSING OUT. Its a must see
