Best Buddies?

Is anyone involved in Best Buddies? [as a Mentor or a buddy] what is is like. I am trying to get a local midle school to get involved.

I am not, my school doesn't offer it. But my sister is in Best Buddies as a mentor and she LOVES it! She thinks it is a great experience to be able to work with mentally challenged children. It has taught her a lot about working with all kinds of people and about responsibility. Her best buddy comes over all the time and the whole family has fun hanging out. It has really opened my eyes and made me realize no matter how different people are, everyone still has stuff in common. Good luck getting your middle school involved, I would love it if mine did!
