So your looking into home based businesses in other words then.  Based on your detailed message of wanting to start a good business from home.  There are plenty of home based business opportunities out there.  One poster was correct, Ebay is one way to go.  

I think you need to look into several different industries and find something that you would have a passion for and be dedicated to.  Everyone has a different passion for different things.  One person who loves say perfume will do very well in that industry, but not so good in another.  Or someone who likes electronics would be good in the telecommunications industry but may not have the passion for soaps and things like that.  So in order to pick a good business for yourself, you need to look into what it out there and find something that is right for you and build your own business.  Every home based business has the opportunity to make what a traditional business does without all the over head expenses.  But you need to go into an industry in which you feel you would be good at and not what someone else is good at. Understand what I mean?

I personally think the best home based business out there is in the telecommunications industry. Land lines, Internet, digital and video phone services, Satellite TV, and all major cellular phone providers.  I love being on the Internet, talking on the phone, helping people save money on services that they are already using and paying for each month, helping people on new services and making a percentage every single month from helping or putting people on services from my home.  That is what I enjoy doing.  You may not, you may like to go door to door selling make up or soaps, or help people with travel.  So look into what you feel you could do and not base your judgment on someone else's success or someone's failures.
