Best Buy Warranty - Do I Need the Reciept?

I bought my camera (now broken) a few years ago - I purchased the Best Buy extended warranty when I bought the camera, but now I've lost my receipt that proves it. The only information that I can provide them with is my name, phone number, and address... I'm not even sure of the date that I bought my camera. Is there any hope for me?

I called up to best buy today to check a warranty. All I had to tell them was my ,phone number, and that I think I bought the product sometime last year and they brought the warranty up with no problems. It doesn't hurt to call and check before going there, but I do not think there will be a problem. Also, I was told that I did not need to bring in my copy of the warranty or anything except the defective product.
