I look for a quiet town without being close to a big metropolis. Thank you.

PS: Sorry for my English, I am French.

  1. In Quebec you could go pretty much anywhere. Ottawa is very much bilingual also.  Since you specified away from a big metropolis, I suggest heading to northern Ontario or Quebec.  Sudbury, North Bay, Timmins, or some of the small towns around there would be good (New Liskeard, Earlton, etc..)  They are small towns, and very much bilingual.  In Northern Quebec, there are places like Rouyn, etc.  However, on the Quebec side there aren't very many people who speak english.

  2. if you are looking for a nice little quiet city with gorgeous  landscape  ;  close to a big town as Montréal....

I think that St-Jerome is the one  and it s also looking like the franche comté in France .... wich is not bad at all

    bye there..

  3. montreal...thats the only one i know i have family there

  4. Gatineau,Quebec

  6. Why not consider somewhere in New Brunswick?  Moncton is a small city, with a large bilingual French/English population, and Universite de Moncton is French.  Move a little away from Moncton and you will find many lovely little towns - Buctouche, Shediac, Cap Pele, Sussex, Petitcodiac, etc.  New Brunswick offers lots of options.  Best of luck with your plans.
