Best Car Audio setup for around $300 ?

I just got a new car (old one totalled...) which happens to be a 2008 chevy cobalt LS sedan..the "default" sound system that came with this car is not bad really, but I want to jack it up a fair amount if i can. I have no experience with working with the audio of cars, but I'm willing to put about $300 into it, can anyone point me in a helpful direction, or give me suggestions? thanks

$300 might get some new speakers, but if you want subs and what not, you'll have to go used, and there is no tellin what you'll get.

I spent 1400 bucks on mine...and it's great. Save more.

I recommend you save up at least twice that much if you want a sound system, honestly that wont get you anything, if it does, it wont be great at all.These are ok.
