I am going to the Caribbean in winter, and i want to know what are the nicest beaches. We would like a calm beach, with very, very small waves. also, not touristy. We dont want a beach next to say a main road like st. martens. Most importantly clear blue water.

  1. Megan's Bay, St Thomas, USVI, BUT it has alot of tourists.  You would probley be better off on one the many small derseted beachs on the island od Anquilla, its just a short ferry ride from St. Maarten, but the best beaches Ive ever been to.

  2. My favorite was St Johns bay. The snorkeling there was unbelievable. They even have an underwater park there where they have put signs and a pathway to follow while snorkeling. I know that this beach has been named one of the top ten beaches in the world before too.

  3. I have been in all the caribben an I can tell you that your best bets are: Virgin Gorda, Negril in Jamaica, USVI (st. Jhon), (St. Tomas), Antigua or Cuba (that I didnt liked at all, but the beach is calm)

Just plan in advance and go for the best rate

  4. Megan's bay is in the top 5

  5. Flamenco Beach, Culebra(Puerto Rico) was named one of the top 10 best in the entire world! It has gorgeous white sand beaches & crystal clear waters. & to make it better, its practically secluded! There is a small town of people living in Culebra & not many tourists. There are no highrise hotels & big companies, just small Inns & guesthouses. Its amazing! Enjoy :)

  6. its grand cayman. im tellin ya the water is clear and beautiful. if you stay on the east side of the island, its away from the tourist area.

only thing bad about grand cayman is how high priced everything is.

  8. Antigua's Dickenson Bay and Half-moon Bay

  9. Your best bet is the US Virgin Islands. There are 4, Water Island, St Thomas, St John and St Croix. My favorite out of the 4 is St John. It's 2/3 rds National Park. Only 2 large resorts on the 39 pristine beaches. Caneel Bay and the Westin.

To me it has everything you need for a perfect vacation/getaway. Beautiful beaches, good shopping, yummy restaurants, great snorkeling and diving and a laid back atmosphere.

You have plenty of lodging but small B&B, rental homes and condos.

The water is awesome. And NO passport needed if you are a US citizen.

  10. Cuba has very calm beaches and many areas that are not touristy. Cayo Coco is gorgeous and is a little secluded. It takes about 45 minutes to drive to the nearest town of Morón (in Ciego de Ávila)...but is only a 15 minute drive from the airport.

The water is gorgeous and is turquoise, clear blue with soft powdery white sand. The resorts there are beautiful and relaxing. There are many activities if you want to things to do and it's very easy to just simply relax.

Sol Meliá is one of the best hotel chains all around and in Cuba as well.

  11. Turks & Caicos

there are no waves to very small waves.

i have been to aruba (nice but not as nice/clear/calm as turks & caicos), dominican (everything there is horrible, don't go lol), bahamas (horrible ocean but beautiful everything else), and turks and caicos ....and turks and caicos is the best and everything there was perfect. i've been there many times. it is very private, clear and blue...and i have pictures if you would like to see! i just got back from there again yesterday :) lol
