Best Center in the NBA right now ?

my opinion Dwight Howard if he just works on his post game and learning how to get them soft touch layups and hooks... but as of right now he is the best in my opinion

amare is a centre who has finesse to go with his power game... howard is a bit too 1 dimensional.

mind you, just cause he's 1 dimensional, doesn't make him any easier to stop.

i go with amare, yao, a healthy brad miller, and dwight.

well he's not technically a "center", but Amare Stoudemire i think is the best, he can dunk all over Dwight, yeah Dwight is a monster, but Stoudemire is probably the only one that can stop and destroy him.

The best pure center in the league is Yao or even maybe Bynum the best PF/C is Dwight "Superman" Howard. He is only 6"11 so he is still a power forward so Yao is technically the best PURE center in the game.

Howard is good.. But Yao Ming just smashes him whenever they got head-to-head.. Yao can post-up, hook shot, do that little fadeaway.. He's got the same game as Howard and he can shoot from mid-range.. or shoot a 3.. ANd Yao can make his free throws.. It's Yao Ming on this one.. Dwight Howard will be better later.

For pure Center have to give it to Yao Ming.

Yao has proven that he is a top notch performer and is a natural at the position. Dwight Howard is a converted center maybe the best in that regard. Howard drafted as a PF, was forced to play C for the undermanned post threat for the Magic team. But I won't call him the best just yet because of course he has to contend it with Amare Stoudamire and Tim Duncan both of whom plays the center positons at times. (With Shaq, Amare is reduced at playing the PF positons while with Kurt Thomas guarding the middle Tim shifts to the PF position.)

Amare is NOT A CENTER. He's a pf who had to place center on a small Suns team. It's not like Amare could defend his way out of a box anyways.

Defense is what wins championships and you idiots who have orgasms when you see Amare's overinflated numbers because of Nash need to understand that.

Dwight needs to work on his post game and free throws then hes a beast. But still Dwight is better than Yao, who can't ever stay healthy.
