I'll go with Alabama from 1958-1982 with Paul "Bear" Bryant as the coach.  He amassed a 232-46-9 record (which works out to be .824 percentage) and won 6 National Titles.

Well, USC is making its case for the Pete Carroll era.

But I will go with Nebraska in the Tom Osborne era....and I am an OU fan.

Knute Rockne era Notre Dame I think makes an interesting case. 6 National Championships in 12 years. Finishing within the top 10 the other years they didn't win. Having the Four Horsemen backfield didn't hurt either. Really, the only thing that stopped Knute Rockne from becoming one of the best (like top 3) football coaches of all time I think was really a plane crash that killed him far earlier than it should have.

Well you could make a case for alot of teams.  The late 1800's and early 1900's was dominated by Princeton and Yale.  But I'd say maybe Minnesota...were the consensus National Champions 5 out of 8 years from 1934-1941.  As of modern-era football...hasn't been a TRUE dynasty really.  But I guess USC is coming as close as anybody to it...depends if they can keep it going or not.
