Best Colour to register victory in William Hill Supporting Racing Post TV Stakes at Newcastle
Sponsored by William Hill, Newcastle’s Tuesday card includes plenty of competitive events. But all the eyes will be glued on William Hill Supporting Racing Post TV Stakes – the only A1 clash on the day.
The 480 metres race will be full of thrill and drama, as six fast and furious hounds have stepped into this battle. Among the contestants are: Best Colour, Driving Champ, Rustys Bar, Wor Hacka, Killer Heels and Lanesdown Drop. The action will be started
at 21:07 GMT. It carries a cash prize of £133.
If we glance at the recent stats of every hound, Best Colour looks to be the most fascinating one. Prior to his recent unlucky defeat, the white, blue and brindle dog recorded two consecutive wins here last month.
He notched up the first place by three and a half lengths to push the connections to bring him up at the A1 level. Continuing his excellent work, J. Wright’s dashing hound bagged another emphatic win, beating Shiloh Supreme by a length’s distance.
The son of Rossacredibility did not run flawlessly last time, but still managed to finish among top three position holders. Confidence is not an issue for the big fellow, as he has a few very fine performances under his belt. Moreover, he knows this track
very well, and has won many races here in the past.
The main danger will be Rustys Bar, who was recently on winner’s podium. After a couple of unlucky rides, the white and brindle dog came up with the winning effort, and clinched the top place by two lengths. A step up in class might be a concern though.
Killer Heels won’t be just a spectator, but needs some better luck. Wor Hacka is certainly not short on confidence now. However, expecting a winning performance from him at this level is a hard thing to do.
Lanesdown Drop should not be totally written off in this company, but her chances are not bright. Driving Champ found plenty of trouble recently, and we expect him to repeat his act.
Best Colour is expected to be highly motivated for this. No one can afford to overlook his chances for the first place. Good luck to all the hounds.
