By play maker as in point guard... some say chris paul and others say steve nash. Steve Nash has more experience as a point guard and aruguably can run the best pick and roll play in the NBA.

Chris Paul, he was underrated and can handle the ball exceptionally well and shoot well too. as for play making he can do a pretty good job as he unlike steve nash likes to break down the defence and get his players a high-percentage shot.

As for the best and all-time play maker I would say Steve Nash. If he wants to shoot he can do that, but that is not his priority and that is what makes him such a good play-maker. His unselfish attitude to pass the ball and make great plays!
