  1. Pew bows aren't difficult to do on your own.  I did them at my wedding with the help of family.  We used white tulle and tied some periwinkle tulle in them to match my bridesmaids dresses.

We did all of the decorations for my wedding and used fake greenery to decorate the altar where the unity candle was.  We didn't go all out on decorations because I wanted to the focus to be on me and my groom.  It was very elegant, though.

    Congrats and good luck!

  2. I make bows all the time for all kinds of occasions.  I did make the bows for my cousin's wedding and 3 more have used them since.  I used this bowmaker.  I know someone else said you don't need one, but seriously, it works as an extra hand and reduces slippage.  Defintely use the wired ribbon! Practice, practice, practice.

Oh, and a tip on hanging them on the end of the pew.  Get the wreath holders that you use for doors.  Usually, you can find them in different colors at the dollar store.

  3. They are super easy to make. It might take you 10 tries on each bow, but eventually, you'll get it, and think of the money you are saving! 8)

    Good luck!!

  4. I cannot give you step my step directions, but if you google how to make a bow I am very confident you will be able to find step by step directions. Best of luck to you!

  5. Bows are super easy and practice makes perfect! Use wired ribbon if you want more control over the "pouffiness" and shape of your bows. Buy enough extra ribbon to s***w up a few times. Enlist the help of other people who you know are very crafty and good at bows.

Don't fall into the "bow maker" trap where you buy some piece of junk to "help" you make the bows. Your loops are the same thing!

    You'll do fine!

    Good luck
