Best Digital camera $250 or under?

Question

My uncle is going to buy me a digital camera. I have a lot of experance with cameras but I am having trouble picking the one I want. I want the most mega pixels I can get. My limit is $250. Please help if you can.

umm... how about a sanyo? the only thing bad about it is that you have to buy your own memory card, but those are cheap

I just got my camera and it is a Canon Elph 8 mp.  I absolutely love it.  It has a huge 3 in. LCD screen, and multiple settings.  There is one i that i love and its where you can choose a color.. any color, and take a pic and the whole pic is black and white except the chosen color.  There is another setting that takes panoramic pics with a stitch mode.....

you do know that megapixels doesn't really matter, unless you're printing like 15x20" ?

i'd go for a canon EOS or something like that
