Best Disneyland route

I went to Disneyland recently and my dad was getting mad at me because we were getting lost around the park even with the map. He kept on taking off walking, losing his patience every time I looked at the map to find the right direction. It was supposed to be fun and all, but he ruined it. For my next time I go to Disneyland, I want to make sure I have a better and funner time. What is the best direction around Disneyland? Go to the popular rides first or go to each land one by one and go on the rides that is there? After Main Street, What's the best place to start off at Adventureland or Tomorrowland?

  1. Hey, there's no shame looking at a Disneyland map. Trust me. I've been there over 10 times, and I just went there recently in June. Me, my mom, and brother still used the map! And my brother even works there, he still used a map. But anyways, since you and your dad are older, you would probably want to go on these rides/lands:

After Main street, you should go to Tomorrowland, (take a Right turn on Main street) It has Space Mountain, Star Tours, etc.

Next go to Fantasy Land, followed by Toontown (if you want to go there)

Then Frontier Land, New Orleans Square, and then Adventure land, when you're done with Adventure land, you'll end up back near Main Street.

The only Land I am forgetting is "Critter Country" which has Splash Mountain.

    Here's a map, lol.

    (I know, it's a crappy map)

When you get there, always go Counterclockwise. Every time my family and I go, we always end up visiting Adventureland, New Orleans, Tomorrowland and Fantasy land, Never the other lands (because we've seen them before, but that's another story)

And make sure to get there early and eat along the way, so no one gets cranky. :) Have fun !

  2. go to adventure land firstttt because theres the indiana jones ride, pirates, haunted mansion, splash mountain, etc. then when you get done there you can take the train that will drop you off right in front of toontown or you can stay on it and it will drop you off at Autopia..which is tomorrow land..yeahh...

  3. Hi alex, here is what I normally do when I go to Disneyland.

It is important to arrive early, about 30 minutes prior to opening. This way you can do a large amount of popular attractions in the morning with little wait. Walk down Main Street U.S.A. and right to Adventureland. Do Indiana Jones Adventure first as well as pick up a Fastpass for it. Next, go to Critter Country and ride Splash Mountain. Along the way, you'll see Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion which you might be tempted to ride, but in actuality, these attractions have very high capacities and waits throughout the day are never that long, even on a busy day. Go to Tomorrowland next and pickup a FP for Space Mountain and ride it as well. Go do the Matterhorn next as well as Buzz Lightyear and Star Tours. From this point on, you're free to do whatever you want. Make sure you grab FPs along the way. Also, you can check current wait times at the information board in front of the Plaza Cafe. Finally, Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage is the most popular attraction with waits going well over an hour. Do this last. As long as you are in the queue by closing, they will let you on no matter what.
