  1. depends on your hdcp..

personally if you are a decent player i would

go to a shop/range where they have the clubs

you like in different shafts, etc and can explain

the differences and what the mean to you.

if they can't explain the basics like which makes of shaft apply to you and your clubspeed, ball trajectory, etc then they aren't worth dealing with.

as you get better you need to buy clubs from a pro or someone whowill help you get better and not just sell you something..

drivers are a lot preference (with the right shaft)

personally i think the best 2 drivers on the market today are the cobra speed drivers and the taylor made quad drivers.. but you need the right shaft and material, etc..

    hope this helps.

  2. Karsten Solheim ruined the game of golf by popularizing cast perimeter weighted clubs.  Nike is a shoe manufacturer.  Try the Titleiest drivers.

  3. go with the ping... the only reason tiger plays the sasqautch is cause hes endorsed by nike and it is a prototype that probably plays more like a titleist D2

  4. Look at the Exotics range of drivers from Tour Edge

    AWESOME!!!!

    Look at www.touredge.com

I own one,.......... best driver I have ever hit

  5. Hello Mickey,

Theses new clubs (square ) will help you if you have slices

ot hook as the club face is much wider and reduce errors.

The only way to play straight in the fairway is to hit the club face in the midlle to make the ball travelling straight. It all depends of your swing. However if you have slices , I strongly

recomment that you use an offset driver, wich has a slight

hook at the bottom to delay the impact of the ball.Main reason

why golfers slices is because their hands and the time of

impact are slightly open to the right like a 45 degree angle.

So even if you buy square clubs it will not make any difference

You would be better using drivers which has a weight transfer

so you could adjust the weight according to your downswing.

    Have a nice game

    Robert

  6. Between golf club titans such as Nike and Ping, quality of equipment has very little diffrerence.  You need to make sure you get a proper fitting from a trained person using at the very least a launch monitor.  I've given fittings to scratch golfers who gained over 40yds of carry in bout thirty minutes by getting the right loft, shaft, and swingweight mix.  It really is that big a deal.  Usually when someone asks me what the "best" driver is I tell them that's like asking me what the best color is.  You're going to prefer one companies sound, feel, design, colors, etc.  But  after that we need to find options that work best with you in that company.

  7. taylormade r540xd. Its their last driver that they made before they started with the whole moveable weights. Its good size, but not too big, and is easy to control, yet is forgiving. Its a pretty workable driver too. And, you can buy it for less then $130.

  8. stay away from nike and buy a cleveland hibore

  9. Sometimes it's tough to go and hit every club. Golf Digest does a club test every year and just released the testing for 2008. (2007 testing is also on the site). This is really good. If you can check them out, pick out a couple favorites and then hit them. Good luck!

  10. Go hit them at your local store. See which one feels right for you. Also, aesthetics play into some of it. You need to like the look of your club to feel confident with it. Just hit them both, and find out. What is right for me, may not be right for you. Same goes with the Pro's.

  11. I have a ping G5 and I love it, love it, love it...... But, I hit the new Square Drivers and...... they are better.....quite amazing actually.  If you have not hit them yet, do it before you decide.

  12. I hear the nike is more forgiving, but best  in customer satisfaction is the r7 Taylor Made
