Question:

Best Energy Drink/Supplement?

I work night shift full-time (3-4 twelve-hour shifts or 36-48 hours per week), and there are definitely some nights where I start to drag. I try to sleep as much as I can, but sometimes I'm still tired after my daily eight hours of sleep.

To make matters worse, I'm starting four classes in September (two online, two in person). Ha.

I'm curious about what you guys think is the best energy drink or supplement. I don't plan on using it on a daily basis because I don't want to become dependent, and I really need something that won't cause me to crash.

Thanks in advance!

  1. You should be taking a good multi vitamin and a good B complex vitamin. B vitamins are great for giving you sustained energy and you cant become dependant on them. We all need them and do not get what we need just from eating right. You can also try some sublingual B12 micro-lozenges and take when you feel like you are starting to drag.

  2. hhhmmm. delicious Monsters. They're my favorite i always drink them with vodka. They give me energy but i think they might be bad for you because i did crash once. it was pretty bad. i was freaking out. my right arm was feeling tingly. Scary Sh't! but that only happened once though. I'm so addicted to Monsters. Actually that's why I'm still awake rightnow.

  3. Red bull, relentless, lucazade

  4. I've found a new energy drink for mental clarity and it is completely organic.  It has herbs and green tea in it with some amino acids and enzymes.  The great thing is that it's not high calorie, just 10 per serving and you buy it by the box and add it to your beverage of choice for hydration.  You can adjust the flavor to your own tastes.  It's called Xooma's EDGE.  Take a look.

  5. Colon cleansing is a good way to start having a lot more energy.
