I am going to be a senior this year and its time to start applying to colleges. I have my heart set on going for equine business management. I have picked out the following three colleges. I would love any feedback on the pros and cons of each college. Thanks for taking the time to read and answer my question!

1. Morrisville State University - Morrisville, NY

2. Johnson and Wales University - Providence, RI

3. Middle Tennessee State University - Murfreesboro, TN

  1. I am unfamiliar with these - but am curious why you have not listed William Woods college nor Findlay college in Ohio - it's probably a really easy answer that I am missing.  I have heard from people who've attended these two and really loved them

  2. It depends on what you're going for.  If you're looking for a school that offers both an excellent "riding" program (Equine Science and Mgt) as well as Equine Racing Management (both TB and STB)..I'd go with Morrisville.  Johnson and Wales is also a great school, but being that I attended Morrisville I can't tell you much about J&W.  Your best bet is to request info brochures from each school,  visit their websites (and their campuses if you can) and weigh the pros and cons.

  3. I plan to attend the University to Louisville, for their Equine Business program.  But my second choice is MTSU.  I really think it depends on what you're looking to do with your degree.

    Best of luck!

  4. Otterbein College in Ohio. Is where I go. They are building a 2 million dollar new stable. Its a great school too..

  5. Also check out Lake Erie College in Ohio. It's small but has a great equine program.
