Best European places to going skiing at the end of February?

Not one of the ridiculously expensive places but somewhere mid to high end. For a couple in their 20's who dont want it too noisy but still have a few bars etc - thanks!!!

Of the countries I have skiied in, I have liked Austria the most. There is something about their attitude. Admittedly I like Austria so much that I haven't tried all that many other places (a couple of resorts in France, a couple in Switzerland)

Of the Austrian resorts Kitzbuhel wins out for being a good ski area and a great town (it's a fair-sized, historical, town).

Not the most snow-sure of resorts, but with the dump of snow they had earlier this season it isn't any sort of gamble this year.

One of my favorites is Lech am Arlberg. It's in Vorarlberg, Austria and connects within minutes to several other resorts in the area, including the high end Zurs and St. Anton. Lech is more family oriented, but was fun to work in too. Nice historic town with river running through - you can also do cross country and sleigh rides and much more.
