Best Fish Tank Size?

Question

hey its me, i was wondering what is the best fish tank size to get. I am not a beginner at this for i i used have a 15 gallon tank. But that was a long time ago. So what would be the best size of tank around 20-30 gallons. P.S. I am trying not to blow out my wallet. THANKS

I'd suggest 29 or 30 gallon tank. They are pretty cheap. You probably already know this but freshwater fish are sooooo much cheaper than saltwater. The maintenance is cheaper too. I mean, the saltwater are much more beautiful fish but you gotta really commit if you go with saltwater. Good Luck

The bigger the better and more exotic you can make it also promotes healthier water in the end if you keep it up just look at what your budget is and go from there just remember the tank and fish are the cheep part of getting set up Filters Plants and What else add up fast

look up a 26 gallon bow tank..

30 gallons is a nice size tank, you can get quite a few fish but check places like ebay as there is loads of sizes prices and makes so you will be sure to find one there

i wouldn't buy of the internet as there are delivery charges so that can be expensive

also try garden centres with aquatic sections  they should be cheaper there too

a 55 gallon tank without a lid is just as much as a 29gallon with a lid where i live and they are about $50-$75 depending what store you go to.

I personally just have 3 ten gallon tanks with many many fish in them...except for my baby tank which is .. i think 29 gallons.

if you are like most aquarist you will tend to over stock the tank .The key to a tanks ability to hold fish is not only the number of gallons it holds but the way those gallons are arranged For instance you can keep more fish in a tank 2ft long1 ft wide x1ft high than in a tank 1ft long  x1 ft wide x 2ft high .The difference is in the size of the top opening or water surface space which allows more oxygen into the water an releases more of any harmfull gasses from fish waste etc One of the best tanks to use this concept is a 40 or 50 breeder tank.You can usually find these at Pet Supermarket
