Best Gas/Electric Company?

Question

Moving into my first apartment (decent sized, one bedroom, Jackson Heights/Corona, N.Y.) and I'm responsible for heat, electric, and gas. What companies have proven to be the best? (customer service, correcting errors, rates etc.)

What companies do you use and what are your average utility bills? NYC answers only please!

You use what ever is available and is the cheapest. Its that simple.

Consolidated Edison - Provides electric service in New York City (except for a small area of Queens), and most of Westchester County. Also provides natural gas service in Manhattan, the Bronx, and parts of Queens and Westchester.
