I want a mid size, mid price ($50-60) Foreman grill to make mainly paninis, and grilled veggies & meats.

Anyone who has one, please recommend a model that is best suited for this, and maybe link a pic if you have one/can find one?

Also what is a floating hinge??

I have had mine for years and I use it all the time.I don't think that they made my model anymore but mine is simular to the super large value grill. The other poster said it was hard to clean but it is not. When I remove the food I place a couple of real wet paper towels on the grill and close the lid. While we are eating the steam helps to clean it and all I have to do is wipe it clean.I would suggest that you get one larger than you think you will need.I cook both meat and veggies at the same time on mine. There is just my husband and I and I can cook a whole meal with meat and veggies in about 10 minutes.

  2. I can't tell you which Foreman grill is the best.  Mine is a Cuisinart Griddler and it's closer to $100.  But I can tell you this: First off, a floating hinge is a hinge that allows you to close the grill flat or with 3 inches of food in it and both top and bottom are flat on the food vs. open in a V shape (make sense?).  Second, make sure that what you buy has removable grill plates.  The ones that are molded in are SO hard to clean, which is why I bought the one that I have.  I grill on mine 3-4 days a week, so they are wonderful to have.  Good luck in your quest!
