  1. I would say Kiprusoff is the best!

  2. zther: luongo is #1!!?????!! WHAT??!!! when he said "today", im pretty sure he meant "these days", not "the one day that luongo actually managed to play good".

sorry bro, luongo and broduer are no match for nabokov "today". luongo was good for like half a season, i have no idea why he was thought of as great. he must have had a good defense that time of year, then they got traded.

broduer has come to rely on his defense too much. only did great when stevens and niedermayer were there.

i would say lundqvist is equal in all areas except crowds in front of his net. if a crowd gathers and the puck goes on net, itll probly get past him. not the case with nabokov.

"today", nabokov is the vezina trophy winner.

  3. to z[ther] brodeur should def been ahead of luongo for the reason that they both have crappy teams in front of them and brodeur made the playoffs and luongo is the reason the canucks didnt.

to the question brodeur is the best obviously still.  yes nabokov had a great year but he has tons of great players in front of him.  brodeur has all the records so he is still the best imo. a little biased but whatever.

  4. this season i truly believe it was osgood... although he didn't get enough games in! pure skill at following the puck, Nabokov! however i will be curious too see if hasek is off the roster of the wings next year!  it is ozzies year!

  5. Martian Broduer!!! even though he did horrible this year he still has most records . i believe he is only missing most career wins, and shut outs. and he has one of the most impressive records which would be most wins in a regular season and the most consistent with 40+ wins in i think 4 seasons, 30+ in 6 and 20+ in 14

  6. yup i agree its nabokov...i hate it when minnesota plays the sharks

  7. Martin Biron

  8. I am going to have to say Roberto Luongo. The man is GREAT every single year. He just never seems to be on a playoff contender. Roberto Luongo is the best goalie in hockey today, but he still needs to work on puck handling.

  9. I would say Patrick Roy.

  10. Yes I agree that Nabokov is a great goalie and yes he led the leauge in wins with 46. But I think Kiprusoff is the best goalie in the NHL. A close follow would be Brodeur and then Lundqvist. Tied for 4th would be Luongo and Nabokov

  11. Nabokov, Brodeur, Luongo, Fleury, Biron and Lundqvist are all awesome.

I think they should all be all recognized. It is tough being a goalie in the NHL.

  12. nabby by far!

  13. Nabakov is good but I would say Fleury and Osgood for this year, look at the stats.  Luongo or Brodeur you could say any year but not this one.

  14. Mayybe in saves......but in style i think fleury :]  he just is amazing like he can save it so many times and to my suprise he has only let a few go by

    GO PENS :]

  15. marty

  16. TODAY? Well by the numbers it is Osgood then Fluery. Although there are really only 4 goalies left in the NHL today because Today is the Conference Finals. I will admit Biron looks pretty good, but still isn't as good as Fluery(1st period of Game 4 excluded).

  17. Today as in currently. I agree with you, it's Nabokov. We'll see what others think when they award the Vezina.  That should be Nabokov this year though.

  18. Nabokov the best! how he plays! fantastic) and he also plays great with the stick, in Hockey Championspin in Canada 2008 he has a point in a goal)

besides he makes great saves) and he is so calm and sure in his powers!

  19. not nabby it's luongo..his team didnt play well enough to support him though this season..you'll see next season

  20. today? nabokov.

  21. Henrik Lundqvist

3 years in NHL, 3 time Vezina finalist

    led league with 10 Shutouts

    also a Olympic Gold Medal

    not a big deal though

  22. Roberto Luongo is the Canucks.  He's the only one that actually plays any defense and keeps his team in more games than they should be in.

  23. Sorry, but Nabokov is only arguably in the top 10 in the league.

YES! He did have a great season... but he had a great season with a very good team playing in front of him.

    Absolutely ahead of Nabokov:

    #1 Luongo

    #2 Broduer

    #3 Lundqvist

Then it gets a little murky... probably ahead:

    #4 Kiprusoff

    #5 Giguere

    Same General Range:

    Vokoun

    Turco

    DiPietro

    Price (will move up)

    Nabokov

  24. luongo, but nabokov is pretty good

  25. i think luongo or brouder there amazing
