My first pick is Eric Clapton.  2nd would be Hendrix and 3rd Stevie Ray Vaughn.  I saw Clapton and Vaughn in concert way back when...they were fantastic.  It&#039;s a shame that Hendrix and Vaughn are gone, but, thankfully, Clapton still plays great for his age.

Younger guys like Slash are terrific...if it wasn&#039;t for his playing, Guns and Roses would never have been so popular.

I have 2 answers,

1.  Me, until I plug in....

2. Robert Quine.  Supberb guitarist.  He played with Richard h**l and Lou Reed.  Check out his web site.  He committed suicide after his wife died, story is that he could not live without her.

So, a great musician who added a great deal to 2 of my favourite artists&#039; work and someone was vulnerable.  Sounds like an artist to me. I hope to adding anarticle about him to my website shortly.
