but I am in french 2 and by the time Id go Id be in french 4 , obviously Italy doesn't speak french, but yeah.

My top few choices

Italy

France

Wallonia (french speaking Belgium)

England

  1. I don't know if you can choose the exact location in the country you want to got to but, you could go somewhere in North eastern Italy near the border of France.....there might be some French speaking people there......But its just a thought.

  2. Exchange experiences are fantastic! We've currently hosting our 13th student!

First you need to find a program -- make sure it's CSIET listed (www.csiet.org) so that you have some government oversight and that your school will recognize it. You might also ask your counselor for a recommendation as programs are only as good as their local representatives. Generally, Aspect, AFS, Rotary and YFU are reliable everywhere. Rotary is the cheapest, but most competitive.

I would say that any of those countries is a good pick except England. A large part of an exchange is language immersion and you won't benefit from that in England.

Usually the program will ask for your top three country choices .. so having some idea of where you would like to go will be a plus.

Here's a web site that will give you lots of info on being an exchange student! Good luck and have a great time!
