Best Home Theater for?

I'm searching for a Home Theater receiver for my new home. I don't want to spend like $500.

I'm going to use it for:

•Xbox 360

•PS3

•Wii

•Cable Television (Not Priority.)

Pretty much I'm going to watch DVDs on my PS3. I found this on Best Buy, please tell me what this is missing and what I need to set up a good home theater.

I bought the Onkyo HT-SR800.  It has 7.1 surround and we absolutely love it.  We bought ours at Circuit City,  but I will give you the link for Amazon.  It was $500 when we bought ours so watch for sales. It is a complete system(except dvd player, but u already have that.)  We hooked it up to our Sony LCD tv and ps3 and we love the sound! It has a ton of capabilities so that you will be able to add on to your system for many years without this system being obsolete.  Good luck, and hope you buy one. You wont regret it.

The receiver that you are looking at at Best Buy is the Yamaha RX-V363BL for $209.99. I presume you will pick it up at the store, so there will also be your state's sales tax added to the price.

Now, some people don't know that amazon.com also sells audio equipment. The same receiver can be bought from amazon for $199.95, with free US shipping, and no sales tax. Take a look at it on their page, as that includes a picture of the back panel and you can then look at all the inputs and outputs and see if everything that you want to plug into it will fit. Yamaha is a very good company for receivers, so its a good choice. I'd far rather have a Yamaha receiver than a comparable Sony.

Amazon also has the Yamaha RX-V361BL receiver going for

$173.82, but I don't think that that one has free shipping.

How are you set for speakers ? Amazon has Polk Audio RM6750 5.1 Channel Home Theater Speaker System (Set of Six, Black), for $232.63 plus $28.49 shipping. Their list price is $600.
