Question:

Best Horse Magazine.....?

My friend's b-day is coming up, (she'll be 16) and I was going to get her a horse magazine subscription.

She is very serious about horses, and own 2 herself.. (one is a yearling, she's training it, or attempting to) and the other one is really stubborn and a little bit crazy.. (it's trained.. ish)

I want to find a magazine that has a lot of helpful, (practical/doable) tips and tricks, not a magazine about [horse] celebrities or anything... just a really awesome practical horse magazine...

  1. i read horsepower and the horse magazine, where u from cos i dunno if u can get them out of aus

  2. i subscribe to EQUUS, which i really like, but there r a bunch out there, u should ask around.

  3. Does you friend ride English or Western? For general horse care I would recommend Equus or Horse Illustrated. For English riding I recommend Practical Horseman. Dressage today is great for dressage riders.

  4. Horse And Rider, Horse Illustrated.  Both are wonderfully informative, and easy to read.  Wonderful gift choice too!  Good job!

  5. I have subscriptions to both Horse and Rider and Equus.

Equus is far better for things about health and such and if you are looking for training tips Horse and Rider is better.

I prefer Equus as I like the health stuff feel I get more quality information out of it but then again I am not looking for western training tips.

  6. Equss

    Horse & Rider

    Young Rider

    Horse Illistrated

they are all good but young rider is more like horse people talk

  7. I think you should subscribe her to Horse and Rider!

  8. Equus and Horse Illustrated

  9. I would say Western Horseman, I get that magazine and its good.
