  1. If you're heading to Tooting bec go to Kastoori.  Their food is amazing and vegetarian.  I love their chilli banana (but it's not served every night so it is a treat when you get it), starts are great (they have one which is similar to a bowl of cornflakes mixed with sals - sounds weird but is really yummy).  Have taken many different groups of friends and my mother there and everyone has enjoyed it.

  2. Had a great meal a couple of months ago at Meraz Cafe in Shoreditch

    Any you can BYO too!

  3. Indian Vegetarian Bhel Poori House  in Chapel Market by Angel tube station is my favourite in London. They have a large range of tasty salads as well as the usual curries. It is a buffet, so you can eat as much as you like. They have been visited by many famous people and the decor shows this and puts forward good arguments for being veggie. They serve alcohol too. The prices are low.

If you get down to Brighton, Bombay Aloo are very good too.
