I'm looking for an Italian restaurant that has a private dining room for up to 20 people and, the kicker, one that has an a la carte menu option!

I've already tried FiAMMA, Del Posto, Abbocatto, San Domenico (not very helpful), Alto

I'm looking to spend approx $150/person..

Any suggestions????

  1. ABigailentro or Aryfartado SUPER GOOD!!!!

  2. Il Cortile on Mulberry Street has wonderful food.  They have private rooms, but, I don't know what size party they are for, or if they serve an ala carte menu.  Call them and ask.

    [212] 226-6060.

  3. Carmine's (Upper West Side one has a private room)  is not the best, but it is great for large groups and will only cost you a fraction of $150 per person  -- so you can splurge on the wine.

Il Mulino is supposed o the best in Manhattan  -- never been there.  i Trulli is very good.

  4. Haven't been there in a while, but I used to like Puglia Restaurant down in Little Italy  189 Hester St.  Tel: 212-966-6006.  Do a Google search and you can see their menu.

They have a semi-private room off to the side, like a little grotto.  Might be a little under the price range you mentioned, but a few bottles of vino could add to the tab....

  5. Carmines is my favorite restaurant in the world, it'll cost you way less than 100 a person, and is the best italian ever, large portions will keep the whole table sharing.

  6. Try Villa Mosconi Restaurant

Check out their website and guesbook for reviews and articles o theri website http://www.villamosconi.com

Have a look at their unique garden room

  7. Babbo, Mario Batatli's spot, hands down.

  8. I second Il cortile.

since you already went to del posto, babbo is probably a waste, and they don't have private dining rooms.

  9. Try Il Postino on East 48 Street off of Second Avenue
