    I like blintz for dessert.


  2. Jewish dishes come from the Germans and Polish so they got all their dishes from them.

  3. Kreplachs!!! The absolute best (meat filled dumpling). Jews don't have a whole lot of dessert recipes, but, coconut macaroons were always a favorite.

    When I was a child, just about every Sunday morning we had:

    Lox & Bagels w/ the trimmings - cream cheese, sliced tomatoes, onion, cucumbers & black olives. .

    Smoked salmon.

    "Fishie with the eyes": smoked chub

    Smoked sturgeon

    At other times we had:

    Corned beef, pastrami, salami, potato salad, cole slaw AND 1/2 sour pickles!

    Latkes

    Kosher hot dogs and knockwurst!

    Homemade Gefilte fish with white horseradish

    Baked chicken

    Chicken soup with homemade matzoh balls.

    [I like mine "heavy".]



    Roasted brisket with roasted potatores and veggies in the same pan as the brisket.
