Best Joker: Nicholson or Ledger?

i like both,

the movies are very different,

but i think i'd go with Ledger.

he really made the role realistic.

Jack Nicholson is MUCH better in my opinion.  I've liked Ledger in other roles, but Nicholson was the better joker in my opinion (and a better actor all around).

Ledger. He made the character very real for me and only every once in a while could I actually tell that it was Ledger and not some real monster.

I've only ever seen Jack Nicholson's performance as the Joker.  It is a classic performance. I am almost certain that (Heath Ledger) probably did a really decent job with the charcater, and put his own spin on it. He was a uniquely talented actor, but I have yet to see the most recent Batman Film for personal reasons. I am just not ready to see it.
